Nigeria’s ex-Minister, Ibe Kachikwu allegedly smuggled a stolen car

Ibe Kachikwu has reportedly smuggled a 2007 Jaguar Xkr from the Jaguar facility in the UK to California.

This information was contained in a document witnessed by Peoples Gazette stating that the US Court has ordered a forfeiture notice on the exotic car.

The car which was stolen from the Jaguar facility in Birmingham was specially made for use in the Czech Republic and do not meet the required standards in the US.

However, it found its way into California.

The documents stated that “United States of America (“plaintiff” or the “government”) filed a complaint about forfeiture against one 2007 Jaguar XKR. The government alleged that the vehicle was subject to forfeiture pursuant to 19 U.S.C. §§ 1595a(c)(1)(A) and 1595a(c)(2)(A),”

However, Mr Kachikwu refuted claims that he was a party to the theft but was willing to pay $10,000 instead of confiscating the car.
